Hey – I Get It!

Here’s my confession:

I made a commitment to optimal health a long time ago.   My evolution from gym rat to pilates instructor didn’t surprise anyone who knew me well.   I collected fitness certifications like a girl scout collects badges.

And then one day, I got out of bed and was 40 pounds overweight!  You see, right after I earned my first personal training certification, I decided to enter a bodybuilding contest.  I trained hard for over a year. Then 18 weeks before the competition, I went on an extreme diet where I reduced my calorie intake by 50% and worked out vigorously 3x a day.
 
My knees and joints hurt... 
All. The. Time.  While I looked fit, I felt sluggish.   I had to drag myself out of bed each morning because I had no energy.   And I drank almost 6 cups of thick black coffee each day to get me from sunrise to sunset.  I wanted to win - no matter what the cost was to my body.

I achieved my personal goal and placed 4th in the Bev Francis fitness competition.  I was so happy to be finished with that grueling regimen, that I immediately resumed my pre-competition eating and workout habits. Which wrecked my metabolism.   My body turned against me and I gained 40 pounds fast. 
 
Which is less-than-awesome for most people. And mortifying as a fitness professional.  Fortunately, my friend, Nicole was apprenticing at the original Pilates Studio in New York.  She saw I was struggling and wanted to help me. So she invited me to join her classes.  I immediately felt the power of Pilates.   It corrected the alignment of my knees and my pain vanished. It remedied the posture I’d ruined by overtraining.  Pilates strengthened and lengthened my core.  The bonus was it helped me get lean again.

At the same time, I got curious about nutrition.  I hired a nutritionist.  I experimented with a variety of foods. I decided to earn my nutrition certification. The one I chose was based on well-researched, evidence-based science.  I loved how it taught me how to prepare and eat delicious and nutritious foods.
 
So I combined my nutrition knowledge with what I learned from Pilates, and got myself back in shape and feeling great.  Without starving myself or working out relentlessly.

FAQs

How does it work?

When you enroll...Every month, on the 1st- I upload 6 workouts per week.  You can do my workout of the day or skip ahead and go back to your favorite workout from the prior month.  I give you a printable calendar to create your own FIT month experience.

When you sign up, you will create a unique login to access the plan. Your can check off your workouts to  track your progress and so you know where you last left off.   Whether you’re at home or on the go, the plan is accessible both on desktop or through an internet browser on your phone.  Feel free to connect to your TV at home for big screen viewing!

Who is it for?

This all-encompassing fitness plan is perfect for busy folks that are interested in learning Mind/ Body  Fitness and Pilates.    Letarn the best exercises, sequencing  and techniques perfect for fast tracking results right from the comfort of your living room. 


I’m a TOTAL newbie….Can I still join?

YES!! When you join you get FREE access to my Start Me Up Plan with is a 30 day Beginner Plan.  It is a discount for the 24.99 price.

What if I have injuries?

Pilates and Yoga CAN be great modalities for pain relief but please see a doctor and get medical clearance before starting this or ANY exercise program.  The beginner program may be more gentle for injuries.  If you are pain free you may be able to do all the workouts but we advise you modify or skip exercises.

YOU SHOULD NOT FEEL PAIN, your muscles may burn and you may feel resistance, but sharp or stabbing pain is not ok.  There is a difference between mild discomfort and knife like pain.  Jessi is available for private assessments if you are unsure.

I already do Pilates. What’s different here..

Awesome! Happy to hear you already know the benefits!  This is a FUN plan.  No long horse faces here!  I do my best to keep it happy and I encourage you to not take it too seriuosly- thing of it as a Pilates party for your body!

I'm a dancer/ athlete/ runner/ cyclist/ juggler/ swimmer/ baller….. is this going to help?

YAAAS!  These mindful workouts will increase your body awareness mobility and core strength.  This translates to less injuries and more freedom in your legs hips shoulders making you better at any sport or movement practice

I’m not so good at yoga or pilates.… Will I be able to hang?

This is how you get better!! You dont have to worry about competitiveness in a class or getting an adjustment that is too rough from an untrained teacher.  I’ll offer modifications and you can always se the Start Me Up Plan which is the beginners series.

Does this plan guarantee that I’ll lose weight?

Wellness is so much more then weight loss.  While many of my clients have lost weight and toned up everyone is so different-  I just cant guarantee that the scale will budge

This plan WILL increase strength mobility and well being.  I will be sharing recipes and healthy eating from a plant based perspective but how your individual body metabolizes food and stores fat is unique to you.  I dont believe in one size fits all dieting but I am available for individual coaching.

How often do I do the videos?

There will be 6 days per week of videos.  If you want to do less use the monthly calendar to set your workout days

If you want to do more- repeat one of the weeks videos.

What if I Do Not Like it?
